The Commercial Bar & Hotel, ABode Chester, and The Coach House Inn got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Chester.
Historic Chester was wonderful - everything within walking distance. There's a great map of the area that was given to us at one of the museums - but you can get them everywhere - and we followed that. Cathedral worth a visit - it was amazing. St John's too - the lovely lady there guided us around the history of the place. So much to see and do - 2 days were not enough. Loved the Chester Rows - double layers of shops where there were lots of little boutiques and coffee shops. Fantastic find for lunch called Booth Mansion - the afternoon tea looked beautiful. We had one of their sandwiches - gorgeous. Great range of teas. Very near Cheshire Oaks for other shopping. Cheshire military museum worth a visit too. Grosvenor Museum was full of children - the Roman section on the ground floor is very interactive and they looked like they were having a wonderful time.
Chester is amazing....been coming here for years and always Something to see......walking the wall with pub/food reastaurants etc on a hot day is the way to do it! Good pubs and bars and lots of great places to eat.
The entire city of Chester is a delight. The vast majority of its attractions are accesable by foot. Eating out is a pleasure and recommend the La Fattoria for pasta loving people. A vibrant atmosphere with good food at good prices. A really enjoyable 3 day city break.
The amphetheatre was disappointing as there is so little of it left and you can only walk around the castle perimeter. Town centre rows and historic buildings were amazing with every kind of shop you could possibly want. Stunning wall mosaics inside the Cathedral.
Chester is a beautiful city with plenty to offer. Great accommodation options and lovely places to dine. This city is perfect for shopping, eating out and nightlife. Beautiful city walks are available everywhere with plenty of history to soak up.
The town centre has a good selection of shops both well known stores and independent retailers. Large selection of places to eat to suit a variety of different tastes and budgets. Good information available about its history with plaques on the wall and information available on your mobile. Would highly recommend a visit to Chester Zoo no matter what time of year you visit.
Fantastic hotel! Spectacular quaint manor set within beautiful grounds with luxury and quality throughout. Rooms fantastic, spacious and immaculately clean. Very high quality breakfast with great variety, albeit for ?11 per person. Staff fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Very nice bar and lounge area with good range of drinks. Good location, about 2 miles or so from Chester city centre, or about a 5 minute drive. Probably a bit too far to walk though. Good spa facilities on site. Great for a short getaway.
I have stayed here many many times for work and also pleasure and found this hotel to be great value for money, great breakfast , great menu at the bar food too , the rooms are clean and have all your needs lcd TVs tea and coffee facilities and the beds are very comfortable. It’s set back slightly from Whitchurch road so really quiet, also just 150 meters down the road there’s a park and ride bus terminal that will take you right into Chester city centre. I will be staying here again
Sadly I haven’t taken any photos of Stone Villa but, I can assure you, what a great hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very neat and well presented. Hoole main street is just around the corner and you are within touching distance of bars and restaurants. Chester centre is a 10-15 min walk or a very cheap taxi ride. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It is ideal for those shopping trips or family/couple getaways. Will definitely be returning.
Convenient to the city centre, had use of the health club facilities which includes a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi & pool, great for relaxing after running Chester Marathon. The hotel also put on early breakfast for anyone staying there who was running the race an hour before the normal serving times. The bed(s) were very comfy. The hotel has parking too. Staff were very polite and friendly, at reception, the health club and breakfast.
The hotel is newly refurbished and very clean and pleasant. The staff work hard to make it nice. Our room was spacious. The dinner at the restaurant was the best we'd had in our week driving trip. Lots of vegetable dishes with delicious versions of English. It is just outside Chester center with free parking.
Perfect hotel in the ideal location for Chester City Centre and the race course. Would highly recommend. Specially with cooking facilities in the room means you don't have to get up super early for breakfast.
Easy check in, lovely room, good service at the bar and restaurant, great place to stay. Also very christmasy, lovely time of year to stay in Chester. Will definitely be returning to this lovely accommodation.

Convenient to Chester city centre and had a great use of the hotel grounds with a nicely furniture do beer garden/barbecue area. Great walk along the nearby canal also.
No faulting the friendliness of staff or the cleanliness of our room and the hotel as a whole. It was great value for 2 nights stay and we would consider a return visit.
Swimming pool. Also easy to get into city centre via the park and ride. Or just walk and ride. Hotel was absolutely fine for our 3 day stay in Chester. Helpful staff.

Lovely hotel and location. We’ll highly recommend
Central for Chester, clean hotel, parking close by
Due to inability to book first of last three nights (due to Chester marathon) and as only two nights were available we were upgraded to an apartment complex which was ‘out of this world ‘ - normal cost some ?400 a night charged at our original billing of ?75 a night ! Staff very helpful and helped carry very heavy luggage, etc Couldn’t recommend it any better! Very central - 10 minutes walk to city center
Although the accommodation was in need of freshening up, it was spotless, the bedding as crisp and fresh, the queensize bed was very comfortable. The room was very spacious. You get what you pay for in life, but here is a little gem
